The Chicago 1893 World's Columbian Exposition: What Remains and New Links to H. H. Holmes

The 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition - What still exists?

From May 1, 1893 to October 30, 1893 Chicago was the focal point of the entire world! Never before and arguably never since has any World’s Fair been as grand. A quick history of the White City and where you can still find what remains!

H.H. Holmes and new links to Chicago and the White City

Ever since Erik Larsen’s "Devil in The White City", the murderous, swindler H.H. Holmes has been linked to the White City of 1893.

Who is the Haunt Detective? a life-long Chicago area resident and history buff who is a former criminal investigator (gang/narcotics). He has had a life-long interest in the mysterious, the unexplained and to anything genuinely creepy.  He has always been somewhat of a local Chicago history buff and upon retirement started a business conducting historical and genealogical research for clients.  (You can retire the person as an investigator but you can't retire the investigator in the person).

It wasn't much of a leap to take my professional experience as a criminal investigator, my love for history, and my love for the unexplained, and begin looking into the folklore, legends and hauntings in the Chicago area as a trained investigator would look at them.
